Vibrant Diwali Celebrations

With the grace and blessings of Pujya Tai Ma and Sadhvi Shri Shilapiji, Veerayatan UK hosted a hugely memorable Diwali event this year, celebrating Mahavir Bhagwan’s Nirvana in a magical, unique and hugely inspiring way. The Chopda Poojan was conducted in a manner which highlighted its deep spiritual meaning, connecting everyone with the core essence of Bhagwan Mahavir’s teachings and engaging both young and old to begin a new spiritual chapter in their lives. Soul stirring music and stavans uplifted all present, with the evening concluding with a magical Jain Raas Garba which left all highly energised.

The evening started off with an opportunity for everyone to network and socialise, whilst enjoying a mouth-watering Jain vegan meal served with lots of love by the youth. It was great to see young and old in colourful costumes mingling with each other and creating beautiful vibes.

The teachers of SCVP then conducted a deeply meaningful, engaging and peaceful Chopda Poojan, uplifted by heart rendering readings of the life stories and experiences of both Mahavir Bhagwan and Gautam Swami as they approached the attainment of their spiritual goals. The explanations around the significance of each aspect of the poojan was done in a very clear and lucid manner which touched the spiritual chords of the audience, whilst the very talented musicians, with their soulful singing, had the audience enthralled - transporting all back in time as if they were present at Bhagwan Mahavir’s final sermon. Following the Poojan, the energetic and joyful singing of the musicians in a unique Jain Raas Garba kept everyone on the dance floor till the end and created positive vibes.

We are grateful to the teachers, youth, committee and volunteers for their tremendous effort in successfully putting together an event of such huge magnitude and variety.
