March forward with purity, humility, and strength:
Be a flame of truth in a world that seeks light.
In January 2025, at the Veerayatan Centre in Kutch, with the divine grace and guidance of Padma Shri Acharya Chandanaji (fondly known as Tai Ma), Kumari Manvi Jain, full of inspiration and excitement, renounced her life and took diksha. Pujya Tai Ma ceremoniously conferred upon Manvi the revered Bhagwati Diksha and, with a new attire and a new path, Pujya Tai Ma gave her a new name - Sadhvi Shri Praveditaji, meaning Bhagwan’s command.
On 29 April 2025, Pune witnessed a deeply spiritual and extraordinary event—the Badi Diksha (the final stage of initiation) ceremony of Sadhvi Shri Praveditaji. This sacred and poignant occasion was enriched by the divine presence and blessings of Pujya Tai Ma and Mahasati Shri Priyakiranaji Maharaj, both revered figures in the Jain community. This was not just a formal ritual - it was a profound celebration of inner awakening, symbolising the renunciation of worldly attachments and the embrace of a higher spiritual path. The ceremony took place on the 45th day of the Santharo vow taken by Mahasati Shri Priyakiranaji Maharaj. For Badi diksha to be graced and blessed by such a divine soul is unparalleled.
Pujya Tai Ma’s teachings served as a reminder that true diksha is not simply a change in attire or status - it is a sacred inner journey, a surrender of the ego, desires, and delusions. The real transformation lies in rising above attachment, deceit, and pride, and in embracing purity, mindfulness, and unwavering character. Such a journey leads the soul from delusion to truth, from bondage to liberation.
Sadhvi Shri Praveditaji, whose gentle demeanour and spiritual grace are well recognised, stepped forward with heartfelt devotion. Her Badi Diksha represented a complete offering of her body, mind, and soul to the principles of Jain Dharma. She expressed her gratitude to her Gurus through an emotional prayer that reflected her deep spiritual resolve and total surrender.
The atmosphere was imbued with solemnity and devotion as the sacred Jain scriptures, including the Dashvaikalika Sutra, were recited. As the scriptural readings concluded, Sadhvi Shri Praveditaji respectfully bowed to Pujya Tai Ma and the entire congregation. In turn, the Sangh responded with heartfelt blessings, signifying their acceptance and encouragement. In a moving and symbolic act, Mahasati Shri Priyakiranaji Maharaj placed her hand lovingly upon Sadhvi Shri Praveditaji’s head, bestowing her blessings. She encouraged Sadhvi Shri Praveditaji to become a light-bearer of Jina Shasana - the spiritual order of Bhagwan Mahavir - and to live a life of self-discipline, compassion, and service. Her words were both a blessing and a directive: to preserve and spread the spiritual legacy of her guru with humility and determination.
The ceremony concluded with joyful tributes, blessings, and the Sangh’s collective affirmation of support for Sadhvi Shri Praveditaji’s noble path ahead. This auspicious day will surely be cherished as a memorable chapter in the spiritual history of Pune.
