90 Years of Compassion in Action: A Devotional Tribute to Pujya Tai Ma

On Friday 30 January, the Shri Chandana Vidyapeeth (SCVP) Jain School, London, community gathered in a spirit of deep reverence and gratitude to celebrate the 90th birthday of our beloved Pujya Tai Ma. The evening was not merely a celebration of years, but a devotional offering in honour of a life wholly dedicated to Seva, Shiksha and Sadhana.

A Life of Compassion in Action

For nine decades, Pujya Tai Ma has stood as a luminous embodiment of compassion in action. Through her tireless dedication, spiritual strength and unwavering vision, Veerayatan has become a living expression of service - transforming countless lives through education, humanitarian outreach, and value-based upliftment across India and around the world. Her life reminds us that spirituality is not confined to contemplation alone but must flow outward in service to humanity.

Service in Honour of Pujya Tai Ma

In keeping with this sacred spirit of seva, SCVP London marked the occasion through meaningful community action. A collection was organised in support of Cariad Baby Bank, a local charity serving families in need. The generous response from the community - offering essential adult and baby care items - reflected the living legacy of compassion that Pujya Tai Ma continues to inspire within us all. We were honoured to welcome the Charity Manager, who shared how these contributions directly support vulnerable families, transforming celebration into tangible service.

Youth-Led Devotional Programme

The evening’s uplifting and devotional programme was entirely youth-led - a fitting tribute to Pujya Tai Ma’s enduring belief in empowering young minds with responsibility, leadership, and values.

Students across classes offered heartfelt tributes through dance, poetry, and drama, culminating in a moving presentation and reciting “Man Ka Manav.” A thoughtfully curated presentation reflected milestones in Pujya Tai Ma’s extraordinary journey, while an Appreciation Tree displayed ninety qualities and defining moments that illuminate Pujya Tai Ma’s path of service and spiritual elevation. Personal reflections shared by community members added depth and warmth. The evening concluded with collective prayerful singing and the sharing of birthday cake in her honour.

A Gathering in Gratitude

The atmosphere throughout the evening was intimate, serene, and devotional - a gathering centred on gratitude. It was a sacred moment to pause and reflect upon the profound impact of a highly elevated and compassionate soul whose life continues to guide and uplift generations.

On behalf of SCVP London and Veerayatan UK, we offer our reverential salutations and heartfelt gratitude to Pujya Tai Ma. May we, as one global Veerayatan family, continue striving to embody the spirit of selfless service, humility, and spiritual strength that Pujya Tai Ma has exemplified across nine remarkable decades.
