Tribute
- by Pujya Bhaishree, Shri Raj Saubhag Ashram, Sayla
The one who was an unparalleled example of selfless service, spiritual practice, and self-discipline, the living embodiment of love and compassion, whom we lovingly addressed as “Tai Ma,” is no longer physically among us. The very thought deeply shakes the heart.
The name Padma Shri Acharya Chandanaji - a renowned philosopher, scholar and visionary - fills the heart with positive energy, pure love, and extraordinary strength of resolve. It is as though all these noble qualities naturally awaken within one's own soul.
For the sorrowful and suffering, she was like a messiah. Whatever she did for them, she did with complete dedication and a broad, far-reaching vision. Her foresight was such that she could see many steps ahead of her time. In her hands was an extraordinary magic of creativity and art.
The way she lovingly and skilfully nurtured the Sadhvi Vrind (community of nuns) remains one of her greatest strengths and legacies. The institution she established will continue to guide and serve society for decades to come.
Her sacred touch and her vibrant presence gave us courage and strength in life. In this difficult and emotional time, let us remember the Tirthankaras, immerse ourselves in their contemplation, awaken the awareness of the eternal nature of the soul, and face this moment of grief with patience, composure, and self-discipline.
Together with Meenal, Vikram, and all our family members, I offer these flowers of heartfelt tribute at her feet.
